Surgery Update Jan 9 15:25

Elizabeth and I are here together at the hospital while Mummy continues her adventure in the OR. After some final prep and checks, they whisked her into the OR to begin the surgery journey at 8:30am. At about 2:30pm, Dr. Manoj Lalu – one of the anesthesiologists – came to tell us that all was going well and that they had just begun de-bulking (another word for removing) as much of the tumor as possible. Much of the time until then had been spent mapping her brain as part of the awake craniotomy procedure.
